ANNA RUSSELL
Sir-lI should like to support the very timely protest by "Anglican." Even to suggest that the ability of these boy singers was anything but the best, amounts ‘to a criticism of the Service. I understand, too, that during the performance of this song the singer poked out her tongue at the audience-a gesture which is obviously contrary to the general rules of human behaviour, and which in this context must be considered positively disgusting when one realises that it is implied that these well-discip-lined choirboys would, in fact, perform such an action. These bovs are highly trained, well schooled in the classical style, and would as much consider doing one another the discourtesy of poking out their tongues, as they would consider poking fun at their dearly beloved choirmaster behind’ his back. — I trust that in future performers will not be permitted to poke out their tongues during broadcasts.
