Steve Race’s recording of "Mambo Jambo" and "Cavaquinho" is a fiftyfingered job-bvt there is only one Steve. It was done in accordance with what is a popular recording practice these days, by making the bass part first-then recording the tenor part on top of that, and so on. He first performed this for a BBC programme, "Talk of the Town." Steve Race is the artist from 4ZB at 4.45. k By Pa Lovers of band music are catered for by 2ZA every’ Wednesday night at 9.30 with "Around the Rotunda," ~- ---e Sr
