Chocolate Stain Removed
Dear Aunt Daisy, I am sending you just another hint to clean a dress. I managed to stain mine when on a holiday, and hoped I might be able to get it out myself. Seeing that We cannot buy the clear benzine as we used to do, I tried eucalyptus. It was a henna-thade dress, a silky crepe; and was stained with the chocolate coating off an ice cream. I put some drops of eucalyptus on a clean piece of white cloth and dabbed the place with it on the wrong side, making it slightly damp. Then I put a clean cloth on and ironed over it, and the stain has just simply disappeared. Of course you must. never put it on the right side to get any stain
out!
