Preserving Passion Fruit and Cucumber

Dear Aunt Daisy, Will you kindly give a recipe for bottling passion fruit? We have a good crop coming on in our garden. We shall have good cucumbers, too-TI hope. Is it possible to preserve these? Thank you for much help in the past.

In case you miss these here are two or three recipes: Pession Fruit Pulp: One cup passion fruit pulp, 1 cup sugar or honey. Bring to boiling point. Bottle in_ sterilised bottles and cork, Cool a little and dip in wax. Less sugar may be used, in which case the pulp should be boiled 1-2 minutes, then filled into sterilised bottles. Pickled Cucumbers (Jewish): Into a small barrel or stone jar put a thin layer of salt and sugar, then grape leaves. Now put the cucumbers-do not cut or skin them, Repeat till jar is full. Seal well. They will be ready in about 2 months, Cucumbers Preserved: Peel and _ slice good cucurnbers-not too old, "Put in salted water overnight. Drain well, pack into jars, cover with cold boiled water to which a little vinegar has been added Sterilise for 1 hour at boiling point.
