Flour Bags
Dear Aunt Daisy, ‘I notice a woman inquiring in The Listener for a way to take the writing out of flour-bags. The method I use, which never fails, is to first rinse out in cold water, then soap both sides of the lettering well. Roll up in a ball, and leave until I have finished boiling the rest of my washing, and then drop it into the boiling suds. If you have a little washing seda it can be added, especially if using washing powder in the copper.
