Focus on Polynesia
UST before he left New Zealand recently to study Polynesian culture in the "Cook Islands, D. Marshall, an anthropologist from Harvard University, talked over his plans with Professor Ralph Piddington, Professor of Anthropology at Auckland University College. Their discussion was recorded and broadcast by Radio New Zealand, and on Wednesday, May 14, at 7.45 p.m., it will be heard from 2YC. Following this discussion listeners will hear, at 8.0 p.m., the first of four illustrated talks by Ulric Williams on Maori music, beginning with a. comparison of Maori and Cook Island music. At 10.0 p.m. the. sameday the first of four talks by Dr. David Miller on Insect Lore and the Maor1 will be broadcast. Dr. Miller discusses first "The Insect Pests of the Maori."
