Two New Pairs

Dear Aunt Daisy, I have often heard people talking about boiling odd nylon stockings to make them all the same colour. Well, I had four odd coloured ones which weren't any use. as I couldn't make a pair out of them. I put them all in a small saucepan, covered them with cold water, put the lid on, and brought tothe boil. I didn’t know how long te boil so gave them five minutes, I had a look then, using a spoon, to see how they were doing. Oh, dear, they were all streaky! I plonked them back in the pot, put the lid back oa and boiled for another 25 minutes. I then took them off, rinsed well and pegged them by the heels. They are dry now and I have two pairs of nylons, a lovely shade and not harmed or hurt by their hard boiling.
