Sir,-As one of those who have been "provoked to anger" by "The Lilian Dale Affair," may I respectfully ask whether you were nodding when you wrote, or approved, the remark that this radio play is "a fairly free version" of The Small House at Allington? No one knows better than you, Sir, that it is tata "version" -at all, nor even a caricature since, except for the audacious piracy of Trollope’s names, its pretended origin is unrecognisable.
