HOSE who did the corralling in the last issue of 2ZB’s Sunday Supple-ment-"A Round-Up of Civic Affairs and Local Topicalities"--seemed to have little eye for a beast, though the occasional item of interest in the session is sufficient to prevent me from wishing we were heading for the last one. There was a short account of the development of Martin Luckie Park, a short account of New Zealand’s first air mail service, the Great Barrier Pige o Post (interesting this, but difficult to see how it ranks as a topicality), a gallant description by a young man with a microphone of how (continued on next page)
(continued from prevfous page) he felt when he climbed with it to the top of St. John’s Church steeple (with what object we are still in doubt, since we didn’t even hear the bells), a trailer by Mark Nicholls of his forthcoming preparatory talks on the South African ‘Tour, and an interview with a gentleman (who has used one) describing the hurnanity and efficiency of the electric harpoon.
