Sir-As the words quoted by "Thid" in your issue of November 8, do not form a pentameter, he should "take to bowls." "In the hexameter rises the fountain’s silvery column, In the pentameter aye falling in melody back.’’-Coleridge. I spent some years on Greek and Latin verse and would not have dared to call "Thid’s" verse a pentameter!
