Extracts from the Journals of the House of Representatives Wednesday, the 7th Day of Jxjly, 1948 Ordered, " That all petitions not finally dealt with during the session of 1947, be again referred to the same Committees as they were referred to during the said session."—(Right Hon. Mr. Fraser.) Ordered, " That a Select Committee be appointed, consisting of nine members, to consider all matters relating to school-teachers, education, and public instruction generally, training of publicschool teachers, higher education, technical education, manual instruction, and such other matters affecting education as may be referred to it: the Committee to consist of Mr. Algie, Mr. Bodkin, Rev. Mr. Carr, Mr. Freer, Mr. Oram, Mr. Petrie, Mr. Rae, Mr. Wilson, and the Mover."—(Hon. Mr. McCombs.) Wednesday, the 18th Day of August, 1948 Ordered, " That the Trades Certification Bill be referred to the Education Committee."—(Hon. Mr. McCombs.) Wednesday, the 20th Day of October, 1948 Ordered, " That the Education Amendment Bill be referred to the Education Committee."— (Hon. Mr. McCombs.) Wednesday, the 27th Day of October, 1948 Ordered, " That the Education Committee have leave to sit during the present sitting of the House."—(Rev. Mr. Carr.) Friday, the 19 th Day of November, 1948 Ordered, " That the Education Amendment Bill be referred back to the Education Committee for further consideration."—(Hon. Mr. McCombs.)
