(a) The section was Crown land when it was sold originally,' and the title when issued wrongly included portion of a legal street. Compensation for loss of area being paid present owner. (b) £7,000 provided on main estimates. Additional provision made to assist in coping with deterioration in position during the war. (c) £10,250 provided on main estimates. Provision now made for additional dragline to carry out work deferred during the war and for current drainage problems. (d) £14,550 provided on main estimates. Further provision required for operating costs of additional draglines which are being acquired. (e) £ll,OOO provided on main estimates. Additional excavators being procured to overtake arrears of drain maintenance deferred during the war period in the various drainage districts and also to cope with current drainage problems.
