TRACTOR -ARCH LOGGING AT TE WHAITI — MIDWAY BETWEEN WAIKAREMOANA AND ROTORUA. To expedite selective logging and other cutting systems in the Whirinaki Demonstration Forest, a tractor and logging arch of the most modern design, and amongst the largest employed even in North America, is being operated. The equipment has proved well adapted to the topography and soil conditions of this forest.
