Special Report. I have the honour to report that at its final meeting the Native Affairs Committee unanimously passed the following resolution : " That this Committee places on record its high appreciation of the competent and courteous manner in which the Chairman, Mr. J. Special Report. I am directed to report that at its final meeting the Native Affairs Committee unanimously carried the following resolution : " That the Committee desires to place on record its appreciation of the satisfactory manner in which the Clerk, Mr. E. M. Anderson, has discharged his duties during the session, and recommends that this resolution be reported to the House." 15th March, 1938.

Final Report. I have the honour to report that the Native Affairs Committee, consisting of seventeen members, has held twelve meetings during the session, with an average attendance at each meeting of ten members. Including twenty-six petitions brought forward from last session, the Committee had before it ninety-three petitions. Thirty-four petitions were reported on and fifty-nine are held over. Seven parliamentary papers were duly considered and reported on. The Electoral Amendment Bill, the Petroleum Bill, and the Native Purposes Bill were considered by the Committee and reported on. J.
