Wellington City Empowering and Amendment Bill. The Local Bills Committee, to which was referred the above-mentioned Bill, has the honour to report that it is a Local Bill ; that the Standing Orders have been complied with ; and that the rights and prerogatives of the Crown are not affected. The Committee recommends that the Bill be allowed to proceed, with the amendments as shown on the copy of the Bill annexed hereto. 2nd November, 1932.
Carterton Borough Council and Wairarapa South County Council Empowering Bill. Papanui Memorial Hall Management Amendment Bill. The Local Bills Committee, to which was referred the above-mentioned Bill, has the honour to report that it is a Local Bill; that the Standing Orders have been complied with ; and that the rights and prerogatives of the Crown are not affected. The Committee recommends that the Bill be allowed to proceed without amendment. 10th November, 1932.
Moutoa Drainage Board Rating Bill. The Local Bills Committee, to which was referred the above-mentioned Bill, has the honour to report that it is a Local Bill; that the Standing Orders have been complied with ; and that the rights and prerogatives of the Crown are not affected. As in the opinion of the Committee existing inequalities in the incidence of rating within the district affected by the Bill could be remedied by a revaluation of the special area without legislation, the Committee recommends that the Bill be not allowed to proceed. And the Committee further recommends that the Valuation Department be instructed to proceed with such revaluation. 10th November, 1932.
Otago Harbour Board Empowering Bill. The Local Bills Committee, to which was referred the above-mentioned Bill, has the honour to report that it is a Local Bill ; that the Standing Orders have been complied with ; and that the rights and prerogatives of the Crown are not affected. The Committee recommends that the Bill be allowed to proceed, with the amendments as shown on the copy of the Bill annexed hereto. 17th November, 1932.
