No. 399.-Petition of P. F. W. J. Castendyk, of Wellington. Praying for legislation to enable him to sit for examination as a dentist. I am directed to report that the Committee, whilst having every sympathy with the petitioner in his unfortunate circumstances, has no recommendation to make. 29th October, 1924.
Special Report. 1 have the honour to report that this Committee records its high sense and dee]) appreciation of the capable and impartial manner in which the Chairman, Mr. W. H. Field, M.P., has presided during the present session over the deliberations of I he Public Health Committee, and desires that this resolution be reported to the House. D. Buddo, 3rd November, 1924. Special Report. I HAVE the honour to report that this Committee records its complete satisfaction with the able and efficient manner in which the Clerk, Mr. J. P. Jarrett, has carried out the duties entrusted to him, and desires that this resolution be reported to the House. 3rd November, 1924.
Final Report. 1 uavio the honour to report that the Public Health Committee, consisting of ten members, has held fifteen meetings during the session, with an average attendance of seven members. Two Bills and twelve petitions were referred to the Committee, and these were duly considered and reported upon with the exception of one petition, which is held over until next session. 3rd November, 1924.
