The State Supply of Electrical Energ}' Act, 1917, provides for the establishment of a sinking fund of 1 per cent, per annum when profits are available for the purpose, and for the pavment of arrears of sinking-fund contributions out of any future profits. The arrears of sinking fund (at 4 per cent, interest) since commencement of operations in 1915 total £47,756.
