With reference to your despatch, No. 175, of the 10th September, regarding the return of Austrian missionaries to the stations in the British Empire in which they worked before the war, .1 have the honour to inform you that there were no Austrian missionaries in Western Samoa at the time mentioned. With reference to my despatch, No. 69, of the 12th April, I have the honour to inform you that the proposals for an increased contribution to the funds of the Imperial Institute, contained in your despatch. No. 168, of the 23rd August, 1920, have been further considered by my Ministers, who have now decided to increase New Zealand's contribution to the funds of the Institute to £1,000 per annum. 2.
