No. 29.—Petition of A. H. Philip, of Albion Street, Parnell, Auckland. Praying for compensation for injuries sustained while in the Railway Department. I am directed to report that the Committee, taking all the circumstances of the case into consideration, recommends that petitioner be granted a compassionate allowance of £50, and that the petition be referred to the Government for favourable consideration. 11th September, 1912.
No. 80. —Petition of Thomas McGahan, of Tuakau, Auckland. Praying for compensation for loss of office as porter in the Railway service. I am directed to report that the Committee recommends that the petitioner receive back pay for the period between the date of the decision of the Appeal Board and the date of actual reinstatement by the Railway Department, and that the petition be referred to the Government for favourable consideration. 19th September, 1912.
