Praying that recommendation of Committee re petition of Otene Paora and others with regard to title to Orakei Block be not given effect to. I am directed to report that, in the opinion of the Committee, these petitions should be referred to , the Government for consideration. 6th November, 1912.

I am directed to report that the Committee has no recommendation to make with regard to this petition. 6th November, 1912.

Special Report. The Native Affairs Committee has the honour to report that at the final meeting of the Committee, held yesterday afternoon, the following resolution was passed unanimously : — " That the Committee desires to place on record its appreciation of the ability, courtesy, and tact displayed by the Chairman, Mr. J. A. Young, at the meetings of the Committee ; that this resolution be entered on the minutes and reported to the House." 6th November, 1912.
