No. 270 (1909). —Petition of Henare Parete, of Kaiapoi. Petitioner prays that the Native Land Court may be empowered to hold further inquiry re the succession to Heni Naihira (deceased) in lands at Kaiapoi. I am directed to report that, in the opinion of the Committee, the petitioner has not exhausted his legal remedies, and, therefore, it has no recommendation to make on this petition. 14th December, 1909.
