On behalf of Kaitangata Branch, Liberal and Labour Federation, would you convey our heartiest condolence and sympathy, and the deep regret we feel to Mrs. Seddon and family on their recent loss of our honoured and revered president. We in Kaitangata feel the loss very acutely as a personal one, and can hardly realise New Zealand's grand old man, our honoured and revered chief, has passed, away. There is one consolation which will in a measure assuage the deep grief we all feel, that he died as he would have chosen—in harness, in the zenith of his power.
