Banfurly Medals. —The Countess of Eanfurly donated two handsome silver medals to be competed for at the annual examination of students of the School of Music, which were awarded as follows : Senior division, Eosa Binsted ; junior division, Violet Hughes. With the departure of Lady Eanfurly from the colony these rewards for proficiency in music cease. "9. Gillies Scholarship.— -This scholarship, of the value of £70 per annum, tenable for three years, was awarded to David E. Hansen. 10.
