I have the honour to report that the Committee recommend that the allegations contained in the petition should be inquired into, and, if found to be true, the Government should grant some redress. 27th August, 1895.

Petitioners pray that in order to be in a position to pay off their debts they may be allowed to sell their spare lands to purchasers other than the Government. I have the honour to report that as there is a Bill now before the House dealing with the subject the Committee has no recommendation to make. 27th August, 1895.
