ORDERS OP REFERENCE. Extracts from the Journals of the House of Representatives. Tuesday, the 25th Day op June, 1895. Ordered, " That Standing Order No. 211 be suspended, and that a Native Affairs Committee, consisting of fifteen members, be appointed to consider all petitions, reports, returns, and other documents relating to affairs specially affecting the Native race that may be brought before the House this session, and from time to time to report thereon to the House; with power to call for persons and papers; five to be a quorum. The Committee to consist of Mr. Button, Hon. Mr. Cadman, Mr. Carnell, Hon. Mr. Carroll, Mr. Heke, Mr. Houston, Mr. W. Kelly, Hon. Mr. Mitchelson, Mr. Parata, Mr. Wi Pere, Captain Russell, Mr. Stevens, Hon. Sir R. Stout, Mr. Te Ao, and the mover." —(Hon. Mr. Seddon.)

Feiday, the 21st Day op June, 1895. Ordered, " That Paper No. 28g, laid upon the table this day, intituled ' Decrees made by the Validation Court at Gisborne in respect of the lands known as Pouawa No. 4, Umumango No. 2, and Wharekaka No. I,' be referred to the Native Affairs Committee." —(Hon. Mr. Seddon.)

Wednesday, the 26th Day op June, 1895. Ordered, " That all petitions undealt with by the Native Affairs Committee last session be again referred to the Native Affairs Committee."—(Mr. Houston.)

Thubsday, the 27th Day op June, 1895. Ordered, " That the Native Townships Bill be referred to the Native Affairs Committee."—(Mr. W. Kelly.)

Wednesday, the 24th Day op July, 1895. Ordered, " That Paper No. 104—' " The Native Land (Validation of Titles) Act, 1893 ": Decrees made by the Validation Court on Kirikiriroa No. 1, Tuawhatu Nos. 4a, Ib, and 2a ' —be referred to the Native Affairs Committee." —(Hon. Mr. Seddon.) Ordered, " That the decrees made by the Validation Court at Gisborne in respect of Paremata (Paper No. 63, laid upon the table on the 4th July) be referred to the Native Affairs Committee."—(Hon. Mr. Seddon.)

Eeiday, the 9th Day op August, 1895. Ordered, " That the Petition of Piripi te Maari and 5 others be referred to the Native Affairs Committee."— (Mr. Mebedith.)

Tuesday, the 3bd Day op Septembee, 1895. Ordered, " That Paper No. 164—' " The Native Land (Validation of Titles) Act, 1893 ": Decrees made by the Validation Court in Auckland re Tuhirangi B, Pohoatua, Whakaruhe, and Mangapukahukahu ' —be referred to the Native Affairs Committee." —(Hon. Mr. Seddon.)

Thubsday, the sth Day op Septembee, 1895. Ordered, "That the Petition of W. Keys and others be referred to the Native Affairs Committee." — (Mr. Joyce.)

Wednesday, the 11th Day op September, 1895/ Ordered, " That Papers Nos. 187g and 188g, decrees made by the Validation Court at Gisborne in respect of lands known as'Tawapata South, Tawapata North Nos. 1 and 2, Nukutaurau, Whangawehi No. 1, Moutere Nos. 1 and 2, be referred to the Native Affairs Committee."—(Hon.
