Maori Affairs Committee I have the honour to report that at its final meeting the Maori Affairs Committee unanimously passed the following resolution : " That the Maori Affairs Committee desires to express its deep appreciation of the valuable and courteous services rendered to the Committee during the session by its Chairman, Mr. Cotterill, and that this resolution be reported to the House." Final Report I have the honour to report that the Maori Affairs Committee, consisting of fifteen members, held fourteen meetings during the session, with an average attendance at each meeting of nine members. Including one petition brought forward from last session, the Committee had fortyfive petitions to deal with, forty-four of them were reported on to the House and one is held over. Eight parliamentary papers, the Maori Purposes Bill, and the West Coast Settlement Reserves Amendment Bill were duly considered and reported on. J. B. Cotterill, Chairman. 30th November, 1948.
