MANAWAANGIANGI BLOCK (PARTICULARS RELATIVE TO THE).
Return to an Order of the House of Representatives dated the 10th October, 1912. Ordered, " That there be laid before this House a return showing—(l) The area of the Manawaangiangi Blook (Hawke's Bay), acquired by the Crown from the Native owners; (2) the total prioe paid therefor; and (3) the area sinoe disposed of by the Crown under the Land Aot, and the amounts realized or payable by way of sale and lease."— (Hon. Mr. Nqata.)
Manawaangiangi Block, Hawke's Bay Land District. 1. Area acquired by the Crown from the Native owners : 12,070 acres. 2. Total price paid therefor : £48,280. 3. (a.) Area since disposed of by the Crovvn under the Land Act : 10,026f acres. (b.) Amounts realized or payable by wav of sale or lease: Annual rental of lands leased, £3,295 14s. No sections sold outright for cash. Note.—There is still an area of 1,525 acres not yet selected. Approximate Colt oj Paper. —Preparation not given ; printing (1,400 copies), 16s.
