REPORT AND ACCOUNTS OP THE COMMISSIONERS OP THE PUBLIC DEBTS SINKING FUNDS FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31st MARCH, 1896.

Presented to both Houses of the General Assembly in compliance with the 6th Section of " The Public Debts Sinking Funds Act, 1868."

REPOBT. Government Buildings, Wellington, 13th July, 1896. The Commissioners of the Public Debts Sinking Funds have the honour to lay before Parliament the account of their transactions for the year ended on the 31st March last. Beyond the presentation of the accounts the Commissioners have little of interest to report. Debentures of the Lyttelton and Christchurch Eailway Loan, amounting to £18,600, were duly met on the Ist January, and sinking funds of the same loan, amounting to £36,600, were released and paid over to the Treasury.
