CIVIL SERVANTS AND RAILWAY EMPLOYES RETURN SHOWING THE NUMBER EMPLOYED, AND AMOUNT OF SALARIES PAID TO, IN EACH PROVINCIAL DISTRICT).
Return to an Order of the : House of Representatives dated 28th June, 1893. Ordered, " That there be laid before this House a return showing—(l) The number of Civil servants employed in each provincial district, showing, in separate columns, the number in each chief town or city of such district; (2) also, in separate columns, gross amount paid in salaries in city, town, and district; (3) also, in separate form, the number of railway hands employed in the several provincial districts, together with gross amount of salaries and wages paid in the several districts."—(Mr. Fisher.)
