EAST INDIES TRADE
NEW ZEALAND PROSPECTS AUCKLAND, Friday Mr H. M. Rusworth, Auckland provincial president of the Farmers’ union, who with the secretary, Mr A. E. Robinsor v is investigating trade possibilities in Malaya and the Netherlands East Indies, has sent a cablegram to the Government, suggesting to the Government that a Netherlands East Indies trade delegation now in Australia be asked to extend its visit to New Zealand. Advice has been received from the Minister of Finance, the Hon. VV. Nash, by the executive of the Auckland Farmers’ Union that the Netherlands Indies representatives have been invited to the Dominion. Mr Nash added that he hoped the exchange of visits might pave the way for a considerable development of reciprocal trade.
