Jacobsen, Wellington, is visiting Hamilton. Mrs Edgar R. Galpin, Marton, is at the Commercial Hotel. Miss D. E. Boyle has been appointed sole teacher of the Horahora Rapids School. * * * • Miss M. Brennan, who has been spending her vacation with her mother, Mrs E. Brennan, Paterangi, has returned to her duties at the Mater Hospital, Auckland. TAUPIRI Mrs E. Sowman, Mt. Roskill, has been the guest of her daughter, Mrs S. Mathers. Miss E. Scott is visiting Morrins-viliv-v Mrs S. J. Littlewood has returned home from a visit to her daughter, Mrs M. Bryant, Frankton. Mrs E. Wilson has returned from a visit to Auckland. Mrs S. Rogers, Matakana, who has been the guest of her daughter, Mrs H. Moss, has returned to her home. Miss E. Brooks, Matamata, spent the week-end with her mother, Mrs A. Brooks. Mrs R. Grant is at present visiting Tuakau. Mrs L. Carter, Tuakau, has been visiting her mother, Mrs R. Grant. Mrs S. A. Clarke, Kainui, is visiting Te Aroha to attend the Methodist Synod. Miss Betty Watters, Waiki, has returned from visiting Mrs R. M. Lovell. Mrs H. Lisettee, Wellington, who has been staying with her mother, Mrs L. Powell, has returned home. Mrs Bailey, Auckland, is visiting her daughter, Mrs H. Riddell. Mrs K. Caswell, Waihi, has been the guest of Mrs R. Burke. Mrs C. Lovell is visiting her granddaughter, Mrs H. Lisettee, Wellington. Miss M. Cumming Takapuna, recently visited Taupiri. TIRAU Mrs H. Johns has left Tirau to make her home in Otorohanga. Mrs Hector Jones, Onewhero, was a recent visitor to Okoroire. They were the guests of the Misses Carruth. * * * * Miss June McLaren, who has been spending a month’s holiday at Tauranga as the guest of Mrs W. McNab, will return home this week. The Piarere Red Cross Committee held a successful dance in the Piarere School recently. Music for the dancing was supplied by Mrs C. P. Gardner, of Tirau, and a novelty waltz was won by Mrs Dike and J. Gray. Mr Payne was Master of Ceremonies.
