SPORTS AT TE AROHA 600 CHILDREN TAKE PART (Special to Times) TE AROHA, Monday Nearly 60 0 children from tne Te Aroha district took part In the combined schools’ sports held at Hernes Park. In spite of the heavy rain of tne past week and a Tew ■ light showers during the morning, all the sports events were run, but the spectacular “Victory" display lor which tne children bad been trained had to be abandoned. An exhibition or rolk dancing was given : by goups ol’ pupils rrom all the schools, i in view of the disparity in the sizes of the ! schools it was decided tiiis year to dispense with the points prize.
