CONCERT PARTY

VISIT TO TE AKAU A concert party organised by Miss Rosalie Seddon recently visited Te Akau, where they were entertained to afternoon tea by the tennis club and to dinner by Mrs J. Evans and Mrs R. Melsop. In the evening a most successful concert and dance was held in aid of patriotic funds, the programme being as follows: Instrumental items, Messrs Ross, Etherridge, Lee, Harbidge, Joe Gibson and Miss Rosalie Seddon; soprano solos, Miss Ruth Henderson; monologues, Burnette Ross; Scotch songs, Joe Gibson (Morrinsville); violin solo, Mr Donald (Te Akau); vocal and elocutionary items, Rosalie Seddon; feature item, Hula by Mrs R. Melsop (Te Akau); sketches by Phil Etherridge and members of the company. Dance music was provided by Mrs W. Hume.
