ROWING CLUB DANCE A jolly dance organised by the members of the Ngaruawahia Rowing Club was held in the Masonic Hall on Saturday evening. There was a large number of dancers present, music being supplied by Mrs > Connolly’s orchestra. Mr T. Stubbing was master of ceremonies. Novelty waltzes were won by Miss Betty Allen and partner, and Miss Little and partner. Among those present were:—MesH. Snowden, Pratt, Hardman, H. Green, J. Cryer, W. Rennie, R. McGreal, Jackson, S. MUNICIPAL BAND FUNCTION Always a popular function the annual dance, organised by members of the Ngaruawahia Band and held 1 in the Town Hall recently, proved l to be no exception. The hall was I very attractively arranged with streamers of blue and gold, large fronds of nikau palms forming an attractive background. The supper tables were very dainty with bowls and vases of autumn flowers. Music was supplied by Matangi’s orchestra and the master of ceremonies was Mr A. Menzies. Novelty waltzes were won by Miss J. Phililps and Mr Morris, and extras were supplied by Miss Bernice Sampson and Mrs P. Connolly. A euchre tournament run in conjunction with the dance was won by Mrs Barber and Mr Zimmerman. Among those present were:—Mes-* dames W. Forrest, wearing black embossed georgette; A.
