RECRUITING STIMULUS RALLY IN HAMILTON AEROPLANE SQUADRONS A squadron of aeroplanes will take part in the recruiting campaign for the Royal New Zealand Air Force, which will open in Hamilton on Monday. Already several thousand young men from New Zealand have gone abroad fully trained or to receive training, to fit them for the •stern work ahead of combating the Nazi and Fascist menace to tne cause of Democracy.
Arrangements were completed yesterday for the squadron, which is coming from Whenuapai and Hobson ville, to arrive over Hamilton at approximately 12.30 p.m. on Monday and continue giving an exhibition of formation flying for approximately half-an-hour, the real purpose being to direct pointed attention to the recruiting rally going on below.
The Royal New Zealand Air Force Band is also assisting in the campaign, and it will move off from the corner of Ward Street at 1 p.m., marching along Victoria Street to the corner of Hood Street and back to Garden Place, where the salute wili be taken by the Mayor, Mr H. D. Caro. This march will give the general public a splendid opportunity of seeing this band marching and of hearing it playing inspiring tunes. The band visited Hamilton last November in the course of a tour of the Dominion, and there will be quite a number of its members known to Hamilton residents.
It the weather is wet on Monday and Tuesday the band wili play in Bledisloe Hall.
