BLANKET DRIVE

EFFORT AT TE KOWHAI The blanket “ drive ” organised by the women of Te Kowhai and Rotokauri districts, and sponsored by the Patriotic Society and Women’s Institute, culminated last night, when a celebration dance was held at Te Kowhai. It was announced that nearly £SO in cash and some blankets had been contributed, and Mrs Gibbison, president of the Women’s Institute, expressed the sincere thanks of the organisers for the sDlendid response. She added special congratulations to Mrs Allen, who had herself collected £32. Mrs H. C. Ross, of Hamilton, received the proceeds on behalf of the central executive.
