THE LATEST RETURNS DISCOUNT RATE UNCHANGED (United Press Assn. —Elec Tel. Copyright; (Received March 14, 3.15 p.m.) LONDON, March 13 The latest Bank of England returns are:— Issue Department—Notes in circultion, £608,400,000; notes in the bank department, £21,800,000; other Government securities, £616,000,000; otner securities, £3,000,000; silver coin, nil. Banking Department—Rest, £3,500,000; public deposits, £13,400,000; deposits, £110,100,000; other accounts, £54,000,000; Government securities, £146,300,000; discounts and advances, £6,000,000; other securities, £20,200,000; notes and coin, £23,000,000. Ratio of reserve to liabilities, 13 per cent. The Bank of England discount rate remains unchanged at 2 per cent.
