QUISLING’S THREATS GERMANISING NORWAY STOCKHOLM March 13 The Germans have decided to courtmartial about seventy mhab'tants of Lofoten Island for maintaining relations with Norwegians in London and assisting the British. The Norwegian press states that they will be punished according to war’s iron law. Quisling, in a speech at Oslo, said: •‘We are obliged to use force. Wo intend to change the Norwegians’ mentality and make Norway a strong Norwegian nation and a Germanic outpost in the Greater Germanic Union. King Haakon shall pay for the Lofoten kidnapping. He is our enemy No. 1. ASSASSINATION DIRECTOR OF THEATRE LONDON, March 13 Polish circles in London have received information that the Polish Quisling, Igo Sym, managing director of a nowly-opencd German theatre in Warsaw, was assassinated on March 7. Eischer, the German Governor of the city, has announced that a number of hostages seized will be shot if the assassins aro not found in three days. RAILWAY STRIKE MEN ACCEPT TERMS WELLINGTON, Friday ‘•The Hutt workshops will bo in full swing on Monday morning,” said the Hon. R. Semple in announcing the acceptance by the men of the terms laid down by the Government. The Minister said at a mass meeting of the men this morning the officials of the unions had advised the men to accept the Government’s conditions, and Government's proposals were endorsed by an overwhelming majority. It is estimated that there were approximately 1200 at the meeting and there were only 8 dissentient voices. Mr Semple said he trusted sincerely that it would be the last of this type of trouble in the railway service of this country.
