SOCIAL NOTES
Mrs J. H. Hammond, Hamilton, has leturned from a holiday spent at Takapuna, Auckland. Mrs T. Mardell and Mrs F. Brett have returned to Hamilton from a visit to New Plymouth. Mrs M. Brodie, Eltham, is spending a holiday at Hamilton. Mrs C. Scown, Fitzroy, New Plymouth, is the guest of Mrs Bluett, Hamilton. Miss Ena Baldwin, Rotojuna, is on a short visit to Wellington. Miss Dora Neville, formerly of Dunedin, who left New Zealand a year ago on a visit to Melbourne, now occupies the position of travelling secretary to Miss Marie Ney, the actress, and is in Sydney. St. Andrew’s Ladies’ Guild will hold a garden party at the residence of Mrs Geo. Boyes, River Road, Claudelands, tomorrow afternoon to raise funds for the installation of deaf aids in the church. All interested are invited to be present. OKOROIRE Mrs W. Brown, Okoroire, and Mrs J. Hilliar, Walton, left this week for the South Island, where they will visit Nelson and Greymouth. Mrs Fairflex, Pokeno, has been visiting Mrs D. Kemp, Okoroire. Mrs J. McLaren, Mrs Owles, and Miss McLaren were recent visitors to Te Aroha. Mrs C. Bush, Matamata, who is visiting her mother, Mrs K. Petersen, Okoroire, will leave next week for Auckland. Miss L. Carswell, Tauranga, is the guest of Mrs Phyllis Ross, Okoroire. Miss Meg Ross-Barclay, has left the Okoroire district to reside at Rotorua.
