FISHING STRIKE
POSITION IN AUCKLAND (By Telegraph.—Press Association j AUCKLAND, Thursday An announcement that the representative of the Fishermen’s Union in Wellington had agreed to assist the Government to get the Auckland fishing boats to put to sea again until the finding by the Price Investigation Tribunal is published, was made to-day by Mr J. J. Enwright, chairman of the Auckland Wholesale Fishmerchants’ Association. He said this agreement was conditional on any price increase that might be granted to the fishermen being made retrospective. Meanwhile the old prices were to continue. The fishermen are holding a meeting to-day to consider the proposal.
