FISHING DISPUTE

PRICES ALTERED BACK TO OLD RATE (Special to Times.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday An announcement that in view of the difficulty that had arisen in connection with fish prices in Auckland, resulting in the tying-up of 40 fishing boats, a public inquiry would be held in Auckland by the Price Investigation Tribunal was made today by the Minister of Industries and Commerce, the Hon. D. G. Sullivan. The inquiry will begin on Thursday, March 20. “A full investigation will be made,” the Minister said. “Pending a decision by the tribunal the prices which have obtained in the past will continue to operate. This means that the status quo in regard to all prices will obtain until the tribunal has given a decision.”
