VERDICT OF SUICIDE

THEATRE MANAGER’S DEATH DEPRESSION # AND INSOMNIA (By Telegraph.—press Association) AUCKLAND. Monday A verdict that Colin Woollam Anderson, theatre manager, aged 56 years, committed suicide at his residence at Kofiimarama on January 7 by taking poison, was returned by the coroner, Mr Hunt, at an inquest today. Dr. Claude Horton gave evidence that for a week before his death Mr Anderson was depressed and unable to sleep. He was found dead in bed with two glasses alongside, one containing a liquid in which there were crystals. There was also a bottle of poison and a note giving the name of a solicitor who was to act as executor for the estate.
