VALUES AT FRANKTON COW BEEF FIRMER Less demand was shown for bacon pigs at the Frankton stock sale today, when entries sold from 63s to 92s against 67s to 96s last weekThree companies who ordinarily operate, were not buying to-day and this consequently had an adverse effect on the market. Porkers also tended a little cheaper. For a smaller entry of fat cows and heifers more money was paid, a rise of 10s a head being frequently recorded. The entry of bullocks, which included many poor quality steers, was generally firm. A smaller entry of fat sheep sold firmly, wethers making up to 28s. Quotations Heavy prime bullocks, 12 to £l3 2s 6d: medium. £9 19s to £lO 17s 6d; small, £7 10s to £8 11s; heavy prime cows and heifers. £8 10s to £lO J 2s; prime. £7 10s to £8 ss: fat £6 5s to £7 ss; light and killable, £4 11s to 6. Pigs Baconers, 63s to 92c; porkers, 42s to 625.
