SOLDIERS FROM ISLANDS TWO DRAFTS OF INVALIDS Invalided home from their base in the Pacific Islands, two drafts of soldiers reached Auckland yesterday. The first draft was met by Captain W. V. Quane, officer commanding the sick and wounded, and both drafts were driven to the Drill Hall, Rutland Street, by the Red Cross Transport Corps. Several of the southern men were able to leave for their homes yesterday, but the majority stayed in Auckland overnight and will leave for the south to-day.
