MR F. R. PICOT’S POST

EASTERN SUPPLY COUNCIL (By Telegraph—Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, Saturday The Minister of Supply, the Hon. D. G. Sullivan, announced today that the Government has appointed Mr F. R. Picot, Director of Internal Marketing and Food Controller, as the representative of New Zealand on the Eastern Supply Council. A further announcement will be made next week in regard to the appointment of New Zealand's military and supply representatives, who will act in conjunction with Mr Picot as members of the staff and in the provision of an office at Delhi. Mr Picot was a member of the New Zealand delegation to the Delhi Conference held toward the end of last year. It was the Delhi Conference which was responsible for the foundation of the organisation of the Eastern Supply Council.
