FURTHER CASUALTIES
PILOTS PRESUMED DEAD (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Friday The deaths of the following officers are now presumed:— Pilot-Officer Edgar Elliot Morton, who on May 20, 1940, was reported missing believed killed. His mother is Mrs L. E. Duncan, Takapuna, Auckland. Pilot-Officer Albert Edgar Wickham, who on May 23, 1940, was reported missing believed killed. He was accepted for a short service commission in 1938 and commenced training at Taieri with the Otago Aero Club. He left New Zealand in June, 1939, to take up a commission in the Royal Air Force. His father is Mr R. E. Wickham, Armagh Street, Christchurch. INJURED IN ACCIDENT AUCKLAND, Saturday Cabled advice has been received from England that Flying-Officer J. Watters, younger son of Mr T. C. Watters. 48 Sentinel Road, Herne Bay. and formerly of Waihi, has been injured in a flying accident. FlyingOfficer Watters completed his training at Wigram and left New Zealand for England in the middle of last year.
