CANDIDATE FOR MANAWATU FLYING-OFFICER E. W. BARNETT [By Telegrrapn.—Press Association) FEILDING, Wednesday It is announced that Flying-Officer E. W. Barnett, farmer, of Halcombe, has been selected as the National Party candidate for Manawatu to take the place of the Hon. J. G. Cobbe, who retires at the expiration ; of the present Parliament. Flying-Officer Barnett is 31 years] old and married. He is at present J an instructor at the Whenuapai aero- ! drome. He is president of the j Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs of New Zealand and chairman of the | western districts area of the Royal | Agricultural Society. j:
