NEW APPOINTMENT
DOMINION LABORATORY CHIEF (By Telegraph Pre«* AB«orlatMin) WELLINGTON. Thursday The appointment of Mr R. L. Andrew. F.I.C. as Dominion analyst and Director of the Dominion Laboratory is announced, succeeding Mr W. Donovan, who has now ret i red. A Thames hoy. who was awarded the School of Mining Scholarship and studied at the Otago School of Mines. Mr Andrew joined the Dominion Laboratory in 1906. He was elected a Fellow of the Institute of Chemistry of Great Britain and Ireland in 1929.
He has published a number of important papers on analytical chemistry of milk and the ielation of j iodine to the incidence of goitre n i New Zealand, which have earned him wide recognition.
