The Hon. J. E. Duncan, M.L.C., is visiting the Waikato.

Mr C. Smith, Mayor of New Brighton, is visiting Hamilton.

Mr E. Z. Taylor, of East Orange, N.J., U.S.A., is in Hamilton.

Mr F. M. Winstone, of Auckland, was a visitor to Hamilton yesterday.

Mr Arthur Kusabs, of Rotorua, was in Hamilton yesterday.

Mr C. E. Mills, of Ashburton, is in Hamilton.

Messrs W. S. Bussell, I. Daniel, A. Ormsby (Auckland), A. I. Southberg (Waiotapu) and H. Ralfe (Napier) are at the Hamilton Hotel.

Mr T. H. Wilson, works manager for Wilsons (N.Z.) Portland Cement, Limited, has retired after 53 years’ continuous service with the firm.

Mr D. W. McClung, who has been general secretary ol the National Party for the past lour years, has announced that he will resign in May.

Mr H. D. Caro, Mayor of Hamilton, who has been attending the annual conference of the Municipal Association in Auckland, is expected back in Hamilton tomorrow evening.

Sir Michael Myers, Chief Justice, who has been presiding at the special sitting of the Supreme Court in Hamilton this week, returns to Wellington by the Limited express this evening.

Mr J. R. Ellis, engineer-manager, and Mr H. J. Beeche, secretary to the Central Waikato Electric-Power Board, left last night for Palmerston North to attend a conference of power boards.

Messrs C. Wallace (Papatoetoe), J. Young (Oamaru); W. MacFinlayson (Waipu): S. W. Mitchell (Te Puke); D. O'Sullivan (Inglewood); and J. Webb (Taihape) were in Cambridge yesterday, acting as judges at the Waikato Central Agricultural Society’s annual show.

Sir Hubert Ostler. Sir Donald McGavin. Dr. T. Gray and Messrs E. Edridge and B. L. Dallard, members ol the Prisons Board, arrived at Te Awamutu yesterday, and to-day made an official visit to the Waikena Borctal Institution.
