STRUCK BY CAR

HAMILTON MAN INJURED Severe injuries to the head were received by a well-known Hamilton business man, Mr Edward Jones, aged 72, of Victoria Street, when he was knocked down yesterday afternoon by a motor-car driven by Mr Hubert Millar, .of Frankton. Mr Jones was crossing the main street in Ngaruawahia when he was struck. The injured man was unconscious when he was admitted to the Waikato Hospital. His condition today was satisfactory. FALL FROM BICYCLE Falling from his bicycle near his home in Bryce Street last evening Douglas John Cooney, aged 15, a woodworker, received serious injuries to the head. When he was admitted to the Waikato Hospital his condition was fairly serious, but today it was described as satisfactory.
